Her nails are painted black, with the ring finger of each hand coated with silver glitter and she twists her wrist to show me the tattoo inscribed.
She was at a Mediterranean restaurant, a rarity in a town that has more Hispanic places to eat than the rest of the state altogether.
As excited as she is to enjoy the chicken kabobs, she's more enthused over the waitress... or rather, her tattoo. It's in Arabic script and it inspires her on the spot. Fast-forward through connections and making stencils of the word she's chose and she finds herself in Lou's Tattoos (same one that LiJoan got hers and where Tiff and I will visit in the future) and it's inscribed into her wrist in the old language: Love.
