When Machetes Attack

He's fifteen and cutting up firewood in the backyard of his house (if you've ever been to Ilo Ilo, you'd understand that the entire countryside is everyone's backyard). He's got a machete in hand and having a great time destroying lumber when his grip slips, missing the piece of wood in front of him and smacking right into his leg.


It takes herbal medicine (because they pretty much live in a bamboo house) and three weeks for the wound to heal completely... and his brothers (all 6 of them) can get the firewood in the meantime.
